Brenna Harmon, BSN, RN, IBCLC

Hi there! I have been working with new parents and their babies for over nine years. I have worked as a nurse in labor and delivery, mother/baby, and nursery, and as a lactation consultant in different settings. My training has helped me understand complex medical conditions, their impact on infant feeding, and the importance of evidence-based care. During this time, I have helped many new families work towards their goals for feeding their babies. I have experience with preterm babies, mastitis and oversupply, low milk supply, excessive weight loss and slow weight gain, exclusive pumping, bottle refusal, and oral restrictions.

My journey towards becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) began with my own challenging feeding experiences. With our first baby, I lacked supportive and knowledgeable help and did not meet my feeding goal to breastfeed exclusively. With our second, we experienced struggles early on that were turned around by a caring and knowledgeable IBCLC. With our third and fourth children, it was again the specialized knowledge of an IBCLC that helped us navigate tongue ties and helped me exceed my breastfeeding goals.

I have special training and passion for oral restrictions (lip and tongue ties), pre and post restriction release care, maternal mental health, pumping, and structural and muscular challenges.

Breastfeeding and infant feeding can be so amazing and soul lifting, but it can also be one of the hardest parts of being a new parent. I wholeheartedly believe every drop of milk given to your baby is a gift. This is why I am an IBCLC, and I want to help you!
